Outside Magazine Includes Boise in “The 16 Best Places to Live in the U.S.: 2016”

For those who love adventure and the outdoors, one only needs to look at Outside Magazine’s latest list to find out where the top 16 best places are to live. Having interviewed climbers, esteemed chefs, musicians and Olympic mountain bikers, Outside Magazine authors explored what made each location on their list special.

Included on the list was Boise, Idaho. Author Frederick Reimers recognized the state capital for its several miles of trails in the nearby Boise Foothills. The Ridge to Rivers trail system is managed by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department and consists of 190-miles of interconnected trails that can be explored by foot, mountain bike or horseback. The trail system allows residents and visitors to enjoy the unique terrain, vegetation and wildlife in the area while ensuring that the delicate ecosystem is protected for future generations.

Reimers also acknowledged Boise’s Greenbelt, a 25-mile route along the scenic Boise River. Find out what other cities were named in Outside Magazine’s top 16 list at http://bit.ly/2bqTnnU.
