Teri Patterson works as a Sr. Escrow Officer in Alliance Title’s Nampa, Idaho office. Prior to coming to Alliance in 2010, Teri had started her career in the escrow industry in 2002. When we asked her to describe her job duties, she exclaimed, “I do whatever it takes to get the job done!” Teri opens, processes, works up, closes and funds real estate transaction files. She also answers the phones, bakes cookies for their clients and customers, and runs commission checks to their real estate agent clients as needed.
What she enjoys the most about her job is trying to make everyone’s closing an enjoyable experience. Teri emphasized that she wants her clients and customers to trust her enough that they can relax and fun.
It is not surprise then that Teri’s favorite Alliance core values are trust and respect. She explained, “I love that my clients (real estate agents, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers) trust me to get the job done with honesty and thoroughness. I’m very picky about each and every file I close. I love feeling like I’m looking out for all parties involved in the file.”
The person Teri admires the most is former President of the United States Ronald Reagan. Teri said, “He was not afraid to speak his mind, but he did it with integrity. He tried so hard to do what was best and honorable for the United States.”
Outside of work, Teri’s family always comes first. She has 2 children and 3 grandchildren that she can never get enough of. Teri said she travels to Missouri to see her daughter and her family at least 3 times a year, and her grandchildren spend a couple of weeks each summer with their ‘Nani’ in Idaho. These are Teri’s favorite weeks all year. Her son and his family live locally, so Teri is able to spend time with his daughter more often.
Teri’s other interests include camping, riding her 4-wheeler, and working in her garden. She was recently honored to receive the Owyhee Garden of the Year award from the Owyhee Gardeners for her beautiful yard and garden. She also loves playing with her Border Collie cross who loves to catch her Frisbee.
“Get up, brush yourself off and get on with it” is Teri’s favorite saying. She explained, “I’ve stumbled a few times in life, but sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, whining about it or blaming someone else doesn’t help you learn the lesson. Every day is a lesson and some of our pitfalls lead to wonderful changes in our life if we just learn from it.”
