The 3-Way Title Agency Merger That Started It All

Prior to 1995, Futura Corporation owned Stewart Title Company of Idaho which only served Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. On May 12, 1995, Stewart Title made its first expansion by merging with 2 other closely held title agencies in eastern and northern Idaho: American Land Title Company and Security Title Company of Idaho.

At the time of the merger, American Land Title Company served Boise, Pocatello, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Rigby, Driggs, and Salmon. Security Title Company of Idaho served Boise, Nampa, Emmett, Twin Falls, Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, and Wallace. However, Security Title’s operations were not isolated to Idaho alone. They also had operations in Clarkston, Washington and Kalispell, Montana.

When the merger was finalized, Futura Corporation viewed the amalgamation as an alliance between the 3 entities. The new company, now one of the largest title agencies in the Pacific Northwest, was named Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. Alliance Title now has 26 branch operations that serve the entire State of Idaho as well as parts of Montana, Washington, and Wyoming.
