As we prepare for the New Year, it is always helpful to have some insight into what trends are anticipated to prevail. Inman News published an article written by Brian Buffini, chairman and founder of Buffini & Company, entitled ‘3 homebuying trends that will stick around in 2016’.
The first trend that Buffini mentions is the cost difference between buying and renting. Buffini states that, “In most areas, it’s cheaper to buy instead of rent.”
For the next trend, Buffini focuses on the internet and shares, “The Internet continues to be the first stop for buyers and sellers looking for information. In fact, 43 percent of all buyers looked for properties online before contacting an agent or looking for information about the home buying process.”
Along with the internet being a trend that is here to stay, so is the trend where it is a necessity to have a Real Estate Agent involved in the home buying process. Buffini states, “Although more and more buyers will use the Internet and mobile devices in their home searches, there’s no doubt that they’ll need the expertise of a trusted agent or broker by their side to help them make this important purchase.”
