Escrow Officer, Reana Garcia, is based out of Alliance Title’s downtown Boise, Idaho branch and has been with the company since June 2011. Not only is she an Escrow Officer, but Reana is also a Short Sale Administrator and Operational Support Specialist. As an Escrow Officer, Reana manages purchase and refinance transactions from the time they open to when they close. As a Short Sale Administrator, she facilitates communication and document management with short sale lenders for Alliance Title’s real estate agent customers. Finally, as an Operational Support Specialist, Reana covers vacations and extended leaves of absence for other Escrow Officers in the company – all while continuing to manage her own escrow responsibilities.
With all of the different hats Reana wears for the company, there are many things she enjoys about what she does. Reana likes meeting new people and treasures the relationships she has built with her clients. She embraces change and finds that helping people move forward, whether they are selling, buying or refinancing, is very gratifying. She also appreciates when a tough deal makes it to the closing table and relishes in knowing that hard work does pay off. Finally, Reana values learning new things and welcomes the fact that learning is never ending in her line of work.
Teamwork is Reana’s favorite Alliance Title core value. She said, “We don’t always see teamwork at play in our business, internally or externally, but when it happens, amazing things come to life. I believe wholeheartedly that ‘it takes a village’ and so, when I see that village set up within the Alliance family and the extended family that are our clients, it is wonderful.”
Reana’s daughter is the person she admires most. Reana explained, “She and I have been through some tough times in our lives and I admire that she has never let any of it make her bitter. She has such a positive outlook on life and doesn’t sweat the small things. She is well on her way to having a wonderful career and family of her own. I feel I raised her well and she flourished.”
Outside of the office, Reana enjoys spending time with her family. She is a newlywed and has a grandson she adores. Her other interests including dancing, the outdoors, football, UFC, and working out/training. Reana likes stepping outside of her comfort zone to try new things and presenting herself with new adventures.
‘Age is just a number.’ is Reana’s favorite saying. She explained that the saying is a mantra she has been applying in her everyday life as of late. She said, “I’m doing things I never thought I would as a woman in her 40’s. I am enjoying pushing myself and experiencing this wonderful time of my life.”
Likewise, Reana’s favorite quote is by Lillian Dickson: “Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once.” Reana appreciates this quote because, she said, “I feel it is a perfect reminder that we are not here forever. We don’t get back the time we waste worrying and stressing and being upset. I struggle with this, truthfully, but that is why it is a favorite quote. It always brings me back to center.”
