Existing-Home Sales Up for the Second Consecutive Month

For a second month in a row, October’s national existing-home sales increased according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Compared to September, October’s existing home sales rose by 1.5% and were 2.5% greater than October 2013. The year-over-year change marked the first time in a year where existing-home sales levels were greater than the previous year. Additionally, October existing-home sales were “at their highest annual pace since September 2013.” The median existing-home price reached $208,300 and was 5.5% greater than the same time last year.
