Nampa, Idaho is located a little more than 20 miles west of Boise in Canyon County. The city’s 2013 estimated population is 86,518 according to the US Census Bureau and is one of the primary cities making up the Boise City-Nampa metropolitan area. Among its many great aspects, Nampa and the surrounding area are home to “some of the Northwest’s finest wineries and wines.” Just a short drive away from the city, visitors and residents can find a myriad of outdoor recreational activities. Within the city, Nampa has cultural, educational and entertainment amenities and venues for all to enjoy.

Nampa proudly honors history by preserving their historic downtown and the train depot that has been in the city since 1903. The city is also home to the Warhawk Air Museum. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the museum’s mission is to “preserve and teach the history of American veterans and their contributions to the freedoms we value today, and to show the relationship of our country and its citizens to those wars which so strongly impacted our nation and the world at large.” Because the museum is a non-profit organization, it relies on donations from private foundations and individuals for its funding.
