Escrow Assistant and Typist, Heidi Semmler, is located at Alliance Title’s Salmon, Idaho branch and has been with the company for 9 years. Her job duties entail closing purchase and refinance transactions as well as typing all commitments and policies for her branch. What she enjoys most about her work is facilitating transactions for first time homebuyers. Heidi finds that watching her customers achieve the ‘American Dream’ of homeownership, and the excited smiles on their faces, is what is most memorable for her.
Teamwork is Heidi’s favorite Alliance core value as she feels this value applies to one’s personal and professional life. Heidi maintains that we use teamwork within our family at home as well as within our ‘family’ at work. She feels that effective teamwork requires that we support our team members in every aspect even if it does not fall into the definition of our job duties. Customers also become part of our team as they share the same goal with us – a smooth closing process. This means that each team member must be willing to transition to different roles within the company to succeed. Heidi points out that, “If one succeeds, we all succeed.”
When asked who she admires and why, Heidi says her husband and explains, “He is such a good soul and he makes me want to be a better person.”
Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her 10-year old son, Mason, and marvels at how quickly the time has gone by watching him grow up. She also enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
“Treat others as how you want to be treated” is Heidi’s favorite saying. She says, “My mother said this over and over to me when I was a child and it is something I constantly think about. This quote can be used in your personal life along with life in the workplace.”
