Title Officer, Tina Dettloff, is located in Alliance Title’s Salmon, Idaho branch and has been with the company for 21 years. What Tina enjoys the most about what she does is discovering the various historical backgrounds on real estate properties when searching title. She says, “History has always interested me and going through the old records connects me with the past. I have also always taken great interest in maps and collect them wherever I go. And this is probably why I enjoy drawing out legal descriptions.”
Integrity and accountability are Tina’s favorite Alliance core values. She says the reason why these are her favorite are because they are key in helping the other Alliance core values (service, teamwork, trust & respect, and profitability) fall into place.
Tina’s mom, Nora Christy, is the person she admires most. Tina explains, “As I get older, I realize just how strong, smart and outgoing she was. She was born in 1919, lived through the Great Depression, World War II and married right before the Korean War. When my dad died in 1968, she went back to night school; got a job; raised my sister and I; and took care of home by herself until her death in 1988.”
Outside of work, in the summer months, Tina loves to garden and play on the Salmon River. In the wintertime, she cross-country skis, sews or attends an art class. Tina says she loves “to read all the time!” She is active in her community as a member of the Lemhi County Historical Society and Rotary International. Finally, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and says, “Life wouldn’t be complete without my family and friends.”
Tina’s favorite quote is “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be” by Abraham Lincoln.
