CFPB Rolls Out New Online Tool that Uses Data from HDMA

Public mortgage information collected through the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HDMA) for 2010 to 2012 is now available for public use thanks to the new interactive heat maps and graphs provided by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The data gathered by the HDMA originates from 7,400 financial institutions throughout the United States and reflects data pertaining to mortgage application and origination volume, further breaking the data down by purchase volume, refinance volume, and loan type.
