New Single-Family Home Sales Up Again in June

For four-consecutive months, new single-family home sales have continued to make gains. The US Census Bureau and Department of Housing and Urban Development’s new residential sales report for June showed that new single-family home sales were 8.3% greater than May and 38.1% above June 2012. June’s new residential home inventory was at a 3.9-month supply, “down slightly from May’s 4.1-month supply.” Finally, the median sales price for new homes was $249,700 in June, down from $263,900 in May.
