Earlier this month, Fox14 News in Twin Falls, Idaho reported that Realtors in the Magic Valley are observing a thriving housing market. With confidence rising in the Idaho housing market, combined with historically low interest rates and rising home values, real estate agents in the Magic Valley area are anticipating a “bump in home sales” and a buyers’ market evolving into a sellers’ market. Indeed, April and May statistics from the Intermountain MLS seem to support what real estate agents are observing.
According to Intermountain MLS data, the average price for a single-family home in Twin Falls County was $144,252 in May, a 9.11% increase over the April average price of $132,212. The number of days on the market in May dropped to 77 compared to 116 in April. Finally, total active residential listings rose to 591 units in May, 3.87% greater than the 569 units the month before.
