Marisela Pesina is an Escrow Officer at Alliance Title’s Nampa, Idaho branch and has been with the company since June 2010. As an Escrow Officer, Marisela closes real estate purchase and refinance transactions and she specializes in Spanish-speaking closings. What she enjoys most about what she does is helping to make her customers’ dreams of homeownership come true.
Trust and respect are Marisela’s favorite Alliance Title core values. She says, “While working with the Latino community there is an amount of trust that needs to be established when making one of the biggest investments of a lifetime. My customers are very much appreciative when I can communicate with them in their native language. For me, it is an example of utmost respect to be able to present the complete closing process in a way that is understandable.”
The person Marisela admires the most is her maternal grandmother. She explains, “My maternal grandmother, as a young widow, was able to be the foundation for her extended family even with limited English language skills.”
Outside of work, Marisela is a committee member of the Farm Labor Historical Museum Association. Being the first of its kind in the Northwest, the Association’s goal is to finish building the museum at the Caldwell Farmway Village by September 2013. Marisela says that the project is halfway there!
Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Marisela says, “This quote makes me work towards making every closing, every meeting and every encounter a good one. That is what people will remember.”
