In loving memory of Larry Floyd, we acknowledge his birthday today, December 5th. Originally from Gooding, Idaho, Larry joined Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. in 1993 where his outgoing and humorous personality left an indelible mark on all of the customers and associates who knew him.
As an Alliance associate, Larry played many important roles. One of his favorite tasks was teaching continuing education classes to Realtors and lenders. He especially enjoyed having his fellow Alliance associates in attendance.
After a brave battle with cancer, Larry passed away on May 30, 2012. Before his passing, he offered two pieces of advice that each of us can take to heart. First, don’t sweat the small stuff. Larry said, “As far as the small stuff, in the working atmosphere when a client or fellow associate treats you poorly, don’t harbor it for a long time but just let it go. Ask yourself how this affects your life and how much energy you are wasting. Move on and as I said…let it go!” The second piece of advice Larry offered was, “LISTEN!!! Don’t plan what you are going to say next, but listen to the party that is speaking to you.”
It is an honor to commemorate and remember Larry on his birthday today. We miss you, Larry Floyd, our beloved fellow associate and friend.
