October RE/MAX National Housing Report

The results of the October RE/MAX National Housing report, “a survey of MLS data in 52 metropolitan areas,” revealed year-over-year comparisons of sales transaction changes, median home prices, average days homes are on the market, and inventory levels. When comparing data from October 2012 to October 2011, the report showed nationally that “closed transactions increased 17.8 percent”; median home prices increased by 2.1%; the average days homes were on the market increased to 82; and inventory fell 28.9%.
