Mortgage Interest Rates Take a Slight Dip this Week – Still at Historic Lows

Mortgage interest rates remain at historic lows, decreasing slightly this week in all four categories tracked by Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS). Rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages slightly dipped from 3.41% last week to 3.39% this week. 15-year fixed rate mortgage interest rates also dropped from 2.72% last week to 2.70% this week. Variable rate mortgages also saw declines with the 5/1-year ARM reaching 2.74% this week, 2.75% last week, and the 1-year ARM landing at 2.58% this week, 2.59% last week.
