Existing home sales information, released by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), showed that April 2012 existing home sales were up by 3.4% over March 2012 and 10% higher than a year ago. What is more, the national median existing home price for all housing types increased by 3.1% in March and 10.1 % over April 2011. NAR chief economist, Lawrence Yun, explains, “This is the first time we’ve had back-to-back price increases from a year earlier since June and July of 2010 when the gains were less than one percent. For the year we’re looking for a modest overall price gain of 1 to 2 percent, with stronger improvement in 2013.” http://bit.ly/KItMS2
