Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming Rank in the Top 20 Most Peaceful States

The Institute for Economics and Peace has released its second edition of their Vision of Humanity United States Peace Index (USPI) report which “provides a comprehensive measure of U.S. peacefulness dating back to 1991.” The report analyzes socioeconomic “measures that are associated with peace as well as estimates of the costs of violence and the economic benefits that would flow from increases in peace.”

Amongst the most peaceful 20 states in the nation were Washington who ranked 7th, Idaho 16th, Wyoming 17th and Montana 18th. See the rankings for other states in the nation and learn more about the USPI report at
