In Realtor.com’s most recent Top 10 Turnaround Towns report, which highlights the cities that were hardest hit by the housing bust and have taken the lead in the housing recovery process, eight of the top ten cities were located in Florida. However, representing the western United States were Phoenix (ranking 2nd) and Boise (ranking 6th).
So, what’s happening in the Boise economy to help in their housing market’s turnaround? The Boise Valley Economic Partnership says that Boise has experienced “a net immigration of people and now there’s a lot of new investment in construction and other industries.” Meanwhile, Realtor.com states that, “the number of homes for sale during the fourth quarter fell by 40% compared with a year earlier. That shrinking inventory should help drive home prices higher.” http://cnnmon.ie/zf3Rnl
