The Thanksgiving Day tradition began in 1621 when the Plymouth colonists shared an autumn feast with the Wampanoag Indians. By 1863, during the Civil War, “President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day be held each November.” Since that time, our nation has united in sharing one day each year where we give thanks.
Celebrating Thanksgiving not only allows us to acknowledge the historical significance the holiday represents for our nation, but also allows us to stop and reflect in our busy lives for the things we are grateful for. Renowned author, Melody Beattie, once explained, “Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” From all of us at Alliance Title & Escrow, Corp., we wish you a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. http://bit.ly/v1uoqQ
