Idaho Patriot Thunder was rolling through the Treasure Valley on June 5th. Over 700 motorcyclists hit Interstate 84 in support of troops and their families. Amongst the cyclists was Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. escrow assistant, Janet McAtee.
“Today is a ride for us to remember what our service-people do for us,” said Jerry Frederick, who rode his motorcycle in Idaho Patriot Thunder. “And we can do something like this because of what they’ve done, what they’re doing right now.”
The motorcycle ride was aimed at benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, the Idaho Guard and Reserve Family Support Fund, and Mountain Home Air Force Base’s Operation Warmheart.
Dennis Guthrie, a Vietnam veteran who served as a medic, rode his Harley in support of veterans. “Just trying to help those we couldn’t help over there,” he said. “Still trying to save veterans.”
Idaho State Patrol officers and city police escorted the motorcyclists as they traveled to Mountain Home Air Force Base and then to the Nampa Warhawk Museum.
